Class Description: 4-week Culinary Boot Camp, 16 hours ** Learn the fundamental culinary skills needed to achieve success in any kitchen. Taught in the same teaching format as The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park Culinary Arts program. (HEAT Classes do not offer accredited certification)

Class 1: Will cover the following:

  • Basic & Advanced Knife Skills and Meat Fabrication

  • Culinary Equipment and Tool Review

  • Food Product Selection, Storage and Preparation Management

  • Culinary Term and Ingredient Review

  • Stock Production

  • Soup Production

Class 2: Will cover the following:

  • Mother Sauce Production

  • Seasoning Usage

  • Protein Selection & Preparation (Beef/Pork/Poultry/Fish)

  • Protein Fabrication & Cookery

Class 3: Will cover the following:

  • Side Dish Preparation

  • Grain Cookery

  • Vegetable Cookery

  • Fruit Preparation & Cookery

Class 4: Will cover the following:

  • Dessert Production and Review

  • Baking & Bread

  • Sweet Creams, Sauces and Sugaring
